This is Castillo's second gold medal at home at this meet. On day 1, Castillo won the men's 3m springboard synchro gold with teammate Daniel Islas.
Post-event, Yahel Castillo said that getting two titles at the World Series was one of the most significant victories of his career and a great start for the new Olympic cycle.
"I'm happy to win in Guadalajara with the people who support the dives, which is a major sport in Mexico," said Castillo.
