The WP4x4 Open World Championships will run from 31 August to 6 September 2026 in the historic Old Port of Dubrovnik, staging WP4's first international competition against one of the most striking backdrops in the sport. Both Men's and Women's Elite competitions will be contested, with all World Aquatics Member Federations eligible to enter up to two national teams per gender.

The competition format will adapt to the number of teams that register, with every team guaranteed multiple matches and full classification rankings awarded across all positions.

And, there is more! World Aquatics is working hard to ensure that the WP4 Open World Championships in Dubrovnik will serve as an official qualifier for the World Aquatics Championships – Budapest 2027. Performances in Croatia will directly shape who competes when WP4 makes its World Championships debut.

What Member Federations need to know

Each federation can register a squad of up to 20 players during the entry window, narrowing to a confirmed competition squad of eight by 24 August. Delegations may number up to 12 members in total.
