With just over 150 days to go until athletes dive into the competition waters for the upcoming World Aquatics Championships, Fukuoka organisers have opened up the first phase of ticketing for the 17-day event.
With a compact four venue setup for the six aquatics sports mainly concentrated in the downtown Fukuoka waterfront, the city looks to provide the pools, backdrop and accessibility to host a truly memorable 20th event edition.
Going strong from the start, hopeful spectators can now apply for the limited multi-day platinum seating pass for swimming and artistic swimming where one can watch all events, from heats to finals, to seats right at the forefront of the action.
With a combination ticket, spectators can take advantage of the swimming and water polo venues adjacent to each other and watch swimming heats followed by water polo matches. Offered at a huge discount price, these combination tickets are available only from 24-27 July.
With the water polo afternoon ticket, look for the local fans to help pack the stands for two evening matches after work, or for four afternoon matches on the weekends.
Here’s all the ticket types going on sale from 11-28 February: multi-day pass for premium swimming and artistic swimming, swimming platinum seating, swimming multi-day pass for reserved seating, artistic swimming multi-day pass for reserved seating, water polo general admission, diving general admission.
