Both event organisers and members of host broadcaster Television Espanola (TVE), which will produce the multilateral signal of the Championships, had the opportunity to explain the production plan for Barcelona 2013. Delegates from 43 TV stations attended the meeting.

The group has started the venue tour at Moll de la Fusta, where the 5km and 10km open water swimming events will take place. The host broadcaster will offer the highest level of production, a live coverage of the two competitions. Moll de la Fusta is also the venue for high diving, an event which for the first time ever will form part of the competition programme of the FINA World Championships. Two platforms will be set up for the men’s and women’s event - 27m and 18m high respectively.

The tour continued on the Montjuic Mountain, visiting the three remaining competition venues, which all form part of the Olympic Ring and are located within walking distance.

Nacho Gomez-Acebo and Javier Grima, sports director and production director of RTVE, as well as Barcelona 2013 organisers Isidre Rigau and Xavier Fajardo led the tour to explain the important details of each competition site.

TVE will count on Televisio de Catalunya (TV3) as co-host broadcaster of the event. RTVE will produce the signal for the competitions to be held in the Palau Sant Jordi, the Municipal Pool and Moll de la Fusta, while TV3 will cover the two water polo tournaments that will take place in the Bernat Picornell Pool. All events will be produced in high definition (HD).

In the afternoon, several presentations relating to the TV production of the event took place. On Friday (November 23), the last day of the WBM, TV delegates will get together in unilateral meetings with members of TVE.
