Arriving on site early next week, FINA Official Partner Myrtha Pools will supervise the installation work, which should take up to several weeks. All pools will be set up by July 10 as approved by the FINA Technical Committee and the subcontracting companies. Athletes taking part in the 16th FINA World Championships will be able to start their training sessions at the pools from July 20.
The pools at the Kazan Arena Stadium will have a size of 50mx26m, allowing to host preliminary heats with ten lanes. The main pool's depth will be 3m, which respects the requirements for staging international synchronised swimming competition. The Water Polo Arena will be located in the area adjacent to the Aquatics Palace. Its pool will have a size of 35mx22m.
