With a week to go until the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2025 tour kicks off in Carmel, Indiana (USA), more global stars have confirmed their participation across all three stops of the series.
Joining the previously announced “Notable Nine” are a quartet of Olympic and World Champions — Adam Peaty, Chad le Clos, Lani Pallister, and Gretchen Walsh — each bringing a decorated résumé and the promise of standout performances to this year's North American tour.
Peaty Returns to the World Cup Stage
Adam Peaty (GBR), widely considered the greatest men’s breaststroke swimmer in history, has collected three Olympic golds, eight World titles and multiple World Records across the 50m and 100m breaststroke.
Despite his long list of accolades, a World Cup title remains absent from Peaty’s career. After winning medals at both the 2024 World Championships in Doha and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, he now looks to add a World Cup crown or two to his résumé.
Le Clos Brings Unmatched Experience
South Africa’s Chad le Clos, a four-time Olympic medallist, is no stranger to the Swimming World Cup circuit. Over his career, he has collected more than 150 medals on tour, including four overall titles (2011, 2013, 2014, 2017).
At Paris 2024, Le Clos competed in his fifth Olympic Games. This season, the 32-year-old will look to add further chapters to an already historic World Cup career.
Pallister Continues Distance Rise
Australia’s Lani Pallister, a five-time short course World Champion, has already proven herself across both the 25m and 50m pool racing formats. A three-time World Cup winner and Paris 2024 Olympian, the 23-year-old is fresh off a standout performance at the Singapore 2025 World Championships, where she set an Oceanic Record in the 800m freestyle.
Known for her endurance and range in the distance freestyle events, Pallister is poised to be a major factor in the women’s competition across the tour.
Walsh Makes Swimming World Cup Debut
Team USA’s Gretchen Walsh enters the World Cup circuit for the first time following a record-breaking campaign at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in Budapest last December, where she set 11 short course World Records in a single championship.
A two-time Olympic gold medallist and four-time long course World Champion, the 22-year-old is one of the most versatile sprinters in the sport and will bring a new level of speed to the women’s field.
World Cup 2025: Fast Swimming Guaranteed
With 13 Olympic and World Champions now confirmed for the full series, fans can look forward to a showcase of elite performances across the Carmel, Westmont, and Toronto stops.
Athletes will be racing for medals, overall crowns, and a share of the USD 1.2 million prize pool, with additional bonuses available for World Records and event sweeps.
More Stars Confirmed for the 2025 Swimming World Cup
The list of confirmed standout swimmers for the entire 2025 Swimming World Cup tour also includes World and Olympic medallist in the men’s field, like Jack Alexy (USA), Michael Andrew (USA), Dylan Carter (TTO), Shaine Casas (USA), Caspar Corbeau (NED), Luke Hobson (USA), Ilya Kharun (CAN), Matthew Richards (GBR), and Kieran Smith (USA).
The women’s Swimming World Cup 2025 field is aided by the additions of Erika Fairweather (NZL), Mary-Sophie Harvey (CAN), Kylie Masse (CAN), Mio Narita (JPN), Marrit Steenbergen (NED), Roos Vanotterdijk (BEL), and Katarzyna Wasick (POL).
