A formidable men's line-up in Porto Flavia features reigning world champion James Lichtenstein of the United States, two-time world champion Gary Hunt of France, and Romanian duo Constantin Popovici and Catalin-Petru Preda, the latter being the winner of the first stop in Fort Lauderdale.

The women's competition meanwhile features five-time world champion Rhiannan Iffland of Australia, who will be challenged by the likes of Fort Lauderdale winner Iris Schmidbauer of Germany and two-time World Aquatics Championships silver medallist Molly Carlson of Canada.
