Eight of the world’s top women’s water polo teams battled it out in Rotterdam across six days of elite competition — and now fans can have their say. With Team USA claiming the tournament title, voting is now open to decide which of the 12 standout performers from the final three days will earn the unofficial honour of “MVP of the MVPs.”
The Women’s Water Polo World Cup 2026 Division 1 tournament brought the sport’s peak intensity to Rotterdam, Netherlands, with the top eight teams out there playing six days of high-intensity action against world-class competition.
With more than just podium places on the line, the stakes were clear: the top five teams—along with host nation Australia— secured their place at the World Aquatics Women’s Water Polo World Cup Final in Sydney.

In the first vote through Group Phase play, Team USA's Jewel Roemer took top honours in a close vote, with fellow American Emily Ausmus and the Netherlands' Lola Moolhuijzen following close behind.
