Up next in the Women's competition is Ginni van Katwijk. Ginni achieved a 10th place finish at the World Aquatics High Diving World Cup 2024 in Bahrain, Manama and is excited to showcase her talent in Singapore 2025.

We put Ginno into the question-and-answer hot seat. Here's what we got from her:

Dream Celebrity Audience: Simone Biles or Dutch Royalty

When asked who she’d love to have watching her dive, Ginni had two exciting answers. “I guess it would be someone who impresses me a lot, like Simone Biles,” she said. But as a proud Dutchwoman, she also considered a royal option: “Maybe King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. That would be pretty cool!”

Perfect Landmark: The Dutch Harbor or Tropical Waters

For Ginni, an ideal dive location would be close to home. “Somewhere in the Netherlands, like the Dutch Harbor, would be really cool,” she shared. But there’s a catch: “The water is so shallow!” On the flip side, she dreams of diving in the natural beauty of the Philippines or Thailand, saying, “The actual nature there would be amazing.”

Favorite Dive Destination: Takachiho, Japan

Japan stands out as a highlight in Ginni’s diving career. “Oh my god, Japan was insane. It was so beautiful and really special,” she gushed. This breathtaking spot remains one of her most memorable experiences.

Signature Dive: The Front Armstand Twist

Ginni has a move that’s entirely her own. “I’m the only one who does the front armstand twist,” she revealed. This challenging and unique maneuver has become her signature dive, setting her apart in the high diving world.

Mood-Driven Music Choices

Ginni’s music preferences change depending on her energy level. “If I’m really hyped up and my heart rate is high, I’ll listen to calm piano music,” she explained. “But if I’m okay to be hyped, then it’s all about the hype music!”
