For the first time, a Southeast Asian country will host the prestigious event, bringing together over 2,500 athletes from 210 National Federations to compete across six disciplines: swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming, and high diving.

Preparations are well underway to transform some of Singapore’s most iconic locations into world-class competition venues. Swimming and artistic swimming will be hosted at the World Championships Arena, which will have a capacity of 4,800 seats and two competition pools.

The Aquatic Centre will host water polo and diving, while the island of Sentosa will set the stage for open water swimming at Palawan Beach and high diving at Palawan Green, offering spectators the chance to catch the action against one of Singapore’s most iconic backdrops. Sentosa will also host the AQUA Fiesta, giving fans an opportunity to engage with the sport outside of the competition.

Following the elite World Aquatics Championships, Singapore will also host the World Aquatics Masters Championships from 26 July – 22 August, where an expected 6,000 competitors from around 100 countries are set to participate in five aquatic disciplines: swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming and open water swimming.

The countdown to Singapore 2025 is well and truly on!
