LAUSANNE – Guadalajara will once again welcome the world’s best divers as a host city for the World Aquatics Diving World Cup 2025. This marks the historic Mexican city’s return to hosting a World Aquatics event for the first time since 2013 when Guadalajara last staged a Diving World Cup.

The competition will take place at the Centre Acuatico Code Metropolitano, the country’s national diving training hub, located in Zapopan, within the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, in the state of Jalisco.

A proven centre of excellence in aquatic sports, the venue has previously hosted the Diving World Cup, the 2011 Pan-American Games, and numerous national diving championships.

Rommel Pacheco, Mexico’s Sports Minister, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to host the World Aquatics Diving World Cup 2025, highlighting its dual purpose of supporting high-performance athletes and promoting the importance of sport and physical culture within Mexican society.

“As Mexico’s Sports Minister, I would like to thank World Aquatics for trusting us to host this prestigious event, which marks a new era where athletes are our top priority. One of our main objectives is to resolve past challenges and move forward. Hosting the World Aquatics Diving World Cup 2025 is a key step in revitalising aquatic sports in Mexico, particularly as we prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games,” said Pacheco.

Today, the facility is overseen by Mexico’s national diving coach, Ivan Bautista, whose leadership has propelled Mexican divers to success across the last four Olympic cycles.
