
The World Aquatics Masters Championships are coming to Singapore and will take place from 26 July to 22 August 2025. The Information Bulletin for the World Aquatics Masters Championships – Singapore 2025 officially kicks off the march to the Championships with key event dates, registration process, competition venues, transportation, and cultural and social programmes that will run alongside the competitions.
About the Event | The World's Top Masters Athletes Are Coming to Singapore
Approximately 6,000 competitors from 100 countries are expected to participate in the World Masters Championships (26 July –22 August), primarily taking place alongside the World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025 (11 July–3 August).
Master athletes compete in five aquatics sports: swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming, and open water swimming, at four different competition venues: the World Aquatics Championships Arena, OCBC Aquatic Centre, Sentosa, and Our Tampines Hub.
Here are the competition dates for each sport:

Open Water Swimming: 26 and 27 July

Swimming: 7 to 14 August (with a day off on the 9 August for Singapore's National Day)

The event also aims to provide an attractive environment where participants can enjoy the competitions and their stay in Singapore.

Singapore | An Experienced Host Beckons
Singapore is a dynamic city shaped by its vibrant culture, multicultural community, and lush landscapes and waterways that thrive across the Lion City. The World Aquatics Masters Championships - Singapore 2025 identity reflects these elements.
The event's theme is "Water Shapes Us." This encapsulates Singapore's relationship with water and its significance in the nation's development and identity. The Masters Championships will take place alongside Singapore's 60th birthday.
Singapore is an experienced host city for major events. This history includes hosting 25 previous World Aquatics competitions, including the 13 editions of the Swimming World Cup and the 2015 World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships. This year's Swimming World Cup will culminate with Singapore hosting the finals (31 October—2 November 2024).
Singapore's Spectacular Competition Venues
Four world-class competition venues will be ready to welcome master athletes and provide them with perfect conditions for competition. These are:
World Aquatics Championships Arena
Located within the Singapore Sports Hub, the World Aquatics Championships Arena will host water polo and swimming at the Masters Championships. The Singapore Sports Hub will also host fan engagement events throughout the Championships.
OCBC Aquatic Centre
The OCBC Aquatic Centre will host water polo and diving competitions at the World Aquatics Championships—Singapore 2025 and the World Aquatics Masters Championships – Singapore 2025.
Sentosa
The island resort of Sentosa off Singapore's southern coast will be home to the open water swimming events at the World Aquatics Masters Championships - Singapore 2025. Throughout the Championships, look out for fan engagement events in Sentosa.
Our Tampines Hub
Our Tampines Hub will host artistic swimming competitions and water polo training sessions during the World Aquatics Masters Championships - Singapore 2025. The venue is designed to host sporting and entertainment activities, making it a versatile hub for various large-scale events in Singapore.
When & Where | Event Registration and Competition Schedule
Athlete registration will open on 28 January 2025 and run through 26 June 2025. Registration will occur on the World Aquatics GMS (General Management System) platform.
All information about event registration and the competition schedules is included in the Information Bulletin, including entry times.
The Information Bulletin will be updated on monthly basis with new information. Closer to the event, World Aquatics and the Organizing Committee will publish Sport Manuals which will include detailed information on each sport.
