Find out which diver calls Quan her “little sister,” which diver is worried about being shy, and who needs at least two more Olympic medals to catch up to her boyfriend.

Quan Hongchan (CHN) – GOLD, women’s 10m synchro with Chen Yuxi

“In the Olympic Games last time, I was really very little [14 years old]. I’m less nervous [for interviews] than before, I confess. I’m afraid you think I speak too little because I don’t say much.”

Chen Yuxi (CHN) – GOLD, women’s 10m synchro with Quan Hongchan

“This is the 50th gold medal for Chinese diving and we thank our predecessors for this good result. To make more difficult dives will be very hard. Also, for 19 years old girl, it is almost not possible to have it harder. We’ll think about it.”

Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix (GBR) – BRONZE, women’s 10m synchro with Lois Toulson

"The Chinese train so hard, the way that they train, everything is close to perfection. They go in the water like they are sleeping. [Quan Hongchan], she's my mei mei [younger sister]. She is so cute. We chat on WeChat. I don't know [if I’m more famous now than my TV-star father, Fred Sirieix] We will have to see. I don't want to be more famous. I'm content with how I am now.”

[My diving boyfriend, Jack Laugher]'s got three Olympic medals now. To finally have one to put up next to his at home feels pretty special. He's got his framed nicely.  I'll definitely be adding mine."

Delaney Schnell (USA) – sixth place, women’s 10m synchro with Jessica Parratto

“I think we both knew we could’ve been on that podium. I don’t want how it ends to be what defines our career. We still have the [2020 Tokyo] silver medal. We still have so many accomplishments. This experience shouldn't take away from that."

“It was so worth it [to come out of retirement for this]. We were able to accomplish things together that we didn’t know that we could do. We got a world [bronze] medal last summer. I’m so happy, and she’s got one [event] more left. I’ll be cheering for her in the stands for sure.”
