"The camp in Mulhouse was extraordinary; we had the privilege to host athletes and coaches from 19 countries of the Americas. The facilities were outstanding, and the positive and relaxed environment made it a very successful experience for all participants," said Alberani.

"Working together as one team was the camp's philosophy, and everyone felt it. I like to say that we come from so many different cultures, but we all speak the same language: swimming," added Alberani. "These athletes are ready now to join the biggest sports party in the world and represent their countries at their best, and I'm sure they will make their country, family, and friends proud."

PanAm Sports President Neven Ilic paid a visit to the Panam Sports Training Camp, travelling from Paris to spend time with the athletes and tour all the facilities of the spectacular sports centre. "This is a dream come true for all of us; we have been working on this project for over three years. The truth is that I am pleasantly surprised with all the facilities and how the athletes are enjoying this experience," said President Ilic in an interview with the Panam Sports Channel from Mulhouse Alsace Agglomeration.

The PanAm Sports President toured all the facilities, participated in training with athletes and witnessed the medical and recovery technologies offered by the CSRA Sports Center in Mulhouse. His first stop was the aquatic centre, where he met with more than 30 athletes and coaches.

Julimar Avila Mancia of Honduras could not hold back her enthusiasm for the experience.

"I'm really enjoying the PanAm Sports training camp this year. It's been fantastic to meet athletes from different countries and converse with them before heading to the Olympics in Paris. This will be my second Olympic Games; I participated in the PanAm Sports training camp before the Tokyo Olympics. I made history by becoming the first Honduran and university swimmer to qualify for a semi-final in the Olympics.

"Participating in the PanAm sports camp beforehand increased my excitement and readiness for my first Olympics," added Mancia. "That was the main reason I was excited to be able to come to camp before the Paris Olympic Games."

The 27-year-old swimmer will race in the women's 200m freestyle race on July 28th in Paris. Ten years ago, she was the flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, where she raced in the 100m freestyle and the 200m butterfly.  At the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, she placed 16th in the 200m butterfly.

"All the amenities and technologies this centre has are impressive," said the PanAm Sports President. "I have spoken to many athletes, and they are all happy. They have all the necessary services, first-class infrastructure, excellent food and a world-class medical and recovery service," said the IOC member from Chile. At Panam Sports, we strive for athletes to arrive prepared and in the best possible way to face their competitions in the Olympic Games. We have made a significant effort to offer them a top-level training camp at the world level."

Ilic also met with children from the Mulhouse community who visit the camp daily to see and interact with the Panam Sports Olympic athletes. "I want to thank the entire team of the Mulhouse-Alsace authorities, staff and volunteers who have made this camp possible," said Ilic. "They have welcomed us all with open arms and are working very hard to give our athletes everything they need."
