The anticipated team draw for the inaugural edition of the World Aquatics Men's U18 Water Polo Championships, slated to take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina is now in the books.
Hosts Argentina are in Group D, where they will take on their South American rivals Brazil and Uruguay.
Hungary, the 2022 winners of the Men's U16 Water Polo Championships, will start the tournament in Group A, where they will play against Serbia, Montenegro, and the United States of America.
The Argentine capital will hold the event from 2-8 July 2024. This is the first time Buenos Aires has hosted a World Aquatics event, though the city was home to the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, where swimming and diving were contested. Argentina has a long tradition of holding World Aquatics events, with Buenos Aires marking the 36th time as an event host in the country's history.
