The Olympic Aquatics Centre, along with Le Bourget Climbing Wall, is the only permanent sports facility to be built for the Paris 2024 Games. During the Games, the artistic swimming, diving, and water polo preliminaries will be held at the Aquatics Centre. Post-Olympics, it will remain open as one of two permanent facilities built for the Games and will serve the aquatics community of the Seine-Saint-Denis region.

Eco-friendly venue: the Aquatics Centre is low-carbon and all the building materials are bio-based. The interior fittings are made of recycled materials in France to showcase the country’s expertise in environmental performance. With almost 5,000 m² of photovoltaic panels covering the roof and supplying energy, the Aquatics Centre is also one of France’s largest urban solar farms.

In early May, the Artistic Swimming World Cup, a friendly water polo match between the USA and France, and the French Diving Open served as official test events for the new Olympic Aquatics Centre in Paris.
