The FINA World Junior Diving Championships allows many of the sport’s emerging stars their first chance to compete on the world stage. Since its inception in 1977, the competition has cemented itself as an important global competition on the aquatics calendar. Over the years, we have seen incredible
performances. This is the 24th edition with more than 250 divers from over 40 nations participating in the event.

Montreal is a place with historic roots in aquatic sports, particularly diving. In addition to hosting the Olympic Games in 1976 and the FINA World Championships in 2005, the city has been home to 11 FINA Diving Grand Prix and 3 FINA Diving World Series events.
