Earlier this year, the World Aquatics Masters Education Programme kicked off with a webinar on shoulder health. Now it's back with its second free online session of 2026 – another expert-led talk aimed at helping Masters participants, coaches and the wider aquatics community stay in the sport for life.
The second webinar, Women's Health: The Effects of Menopause on Performance, will take place on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at 12:00 CET and will focus on one of the most important and increasingly discussed topics in Masters sport.

As more women continue to train and compete throughout midlife and beyond, understanding the physiological changes associated with menopause has become essential for participants, coaches and support personnel. This webinar will explore how menopause can influence performance, recovery, health and wellbeing, while providing practical, evidence-based strategies to help participants adapt their training, optimise performance and continue enjoying aquatic sports throughout every stage of life.
The session will be led by Marine Dupuit, Sports Scientist at INSEP, with the support of Michelle Marie Gallen, Secretary of the World Aquatics Masters Committee.
The webinar will be delivered live via Zoom and is free of charge. Participants from around the world are encouraged to attend and engage with the presenters during the session. Registration will be available directly through Zoom.
The World Aquatics Masters Education Programme was launched to complement the International Federation’s commitment to supporting Masters participants beyond competition by providing accessible, high-quality educational opportunities. Bringing together leading experts from around the world, the programme shares the latest research and practical guidance on topics that help Masters participants train safely, stay healthy and continue participating in aquatic sports for years to come.
Nadine Day, Chair of the World Aquatics Masters Committee, said:
“One of the main points of the Masters Education Programme is that our job doesn't stop at competition. We want to give participants access to the kind of expert knowledge that helps them stay in the sport for the rest of their life. And menopause is a perfect example of why that matters. It affects every female Masters participant eventually - it changes how you train, how you recover, how you perform - and we need more people talking about it.”
Looking ahead, the 2026 Masters Education Programme will also feature two further online webinars covering Osteoporosis and Nutrition for Masters Participants, with dates and speaker information to be announced in due course.
