Following the successful launch of its Sleep Management webinar series, World Aquatics will host the second session focused on the practical realities of sleep in elite sport and the strategies available to better support athlete health and performance.

Titled “Sleep challenges in elite sport – risks, solutions and tracking methods”, the webinar will take place on Monday 1 June 2026, with two live sessions available at 08:00 CET and 14:00 CET via Zoom.

Building on the first webinar, which explored the foundations of sleep and circadian rhythm, this session will examine the real-world challenges athletes face across training, recovery, travel and competition environments. Discussions will focus on evidence-based approaches to managing sleep, the tools and assessment methods currently available to teams and practitioners, and the role of sleep tracking in supporting decision-making.

The webinar will feature insights from Olympic Artistic Swimming medallist Ona Carbonell and Artistic Swimming World Champion Giorgio Minisini, alongside sleep medicine specialist Dr Kirstie Anderson.

The session is open to athletes, coaches, parents, judges and referees, technical officials, and federation and club staff from across the global aquatics community.
