Meet the Mascots
🐾 Ollie the Otter – Cheeky, curious, cheerful and always making a splash! not just in its waterways but in the hearts of its people. Often seen cruising through the waters of Garden City or playfully traversing Singapore’s bustling streets, Ollie is a familiar and beloved sight. An excellent swimmer, his sleek, fur-covered body glides effortlessly through the water before popping up with a friendly wave to fans on land. Ollie represents the harmony between nature and urban life, reminding us how water connects us all.
🌊 Dewey the Dugong – Gentle, graceful, and resilient. Native to Singapore’s coastal waters, Dewey glides through strong currents with ease, symbolising strength and marine conservation. Though elusive, this endangered marine mammal is a reminder of the importance of protecting aquatic ecosystems—a cause close to the heart of the Championships.
A First Look at Ollie and Dewey
Ollie and Dewey made their public debut today at the 100 Days to Go milestone event the launch of SG60 Swim Challenge SG60 Swim Challenge—a nationwide celebration of Singapore’s 60th anniversary, inspiring more to embrace fitness and swimming.
As the World Aquatics Championships (11 July – 3 August) and World Aquatics Masters Championships (26 July – 22 August) approach, expect to see Ollie and Dewey making regular appearances. Who knows? They might even get close-up with the medals that athletes will be competing for!

About the World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025
The World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025 is the global flagship event for six aquatics sports: swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming, and high diving. Singapore will be the first Southeast Asian country to host a World Aquatics Championships, with the 2025 event taking place from 11 July to 3 August at the Singapore Sports Hub and Sentosa. These Championships expect to host over 2,500 elite athletes from more than 200 national member federations.
About the World Aquatics Masters Championships – Singapore 2025
Singapore will also host the World Aquatics Masters Championships – Singapore 2025 from 26 July to 22 August 2025. The Masters Championships is a mass participation event featuring the five aquatic sports of swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, and open water swimming. Open to international and local participants aged 25 and above, the event is expected to attract 6,000 competitors to Singapore.
