Up next in the men's competition is Davide Baraldi. Davide achieved a 12th place finish at the World Aquatics High Diving World Cup 2024 in Bahrain, Manama and is expected to deliver an impressive performance in Singapore.

We put Davide into the question-and-answer hot seat. Here's what we got from him:

Dream Spot to Dive

Davide Baraldi, a daring high diver from Milan, combines skill, creativity, and a touch of Italian charm in every jump. With a love for breathtaking locations and a passion for his homeland, Baraldi dreams of diving in front of Milan’s iconic Duomo cathedral. “It would be nice, a place in Italy,” he said. “The Duomo, because I’m from Milan.”

Favourite Competition Spot

Baraldi’s favorite competition venues reflect his deep connection to Italian culture. “Rome, for the love of my country, stands out,” he shared. But his aspirations aren’t limited to Italy—he hopes to dive in natural reserves around the world, blending his adventurous spirit with nature’s beauty.

Celebrity to Invite

What sets Baraldi apart is his unique perspective on high diving. An enthusiast of magic, he’d love to have a magician like David Copperfield watch him perform. “I’m into magic,” he said with a smile, showing his flair for combining art and sport.

Pre- Competition Playlist

When it comes to preparing for competitions, Baraldi keeps it eclectic. “My playlist is very casual,” he said. “I have classical music, rap, pop, then back to classical. I listen to everything.” His calm pre-dive routine involves chilling out and focusing on doing his best.

Signature Dive Style

If he could create a signature dive, Baraldi says it would reflect “power and style—like Italian style, like pasta!”
