For Anisley Garcia Navarro, competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games fulfilled a lifelong goal. "Paris was a dream come true," Navarro reflects. Everything was as perfect as I had imagined."

The 22-year-old has competed in both the 10-meter platform and 3-meter springboard since she was young. Her coach encouraged her to aim for qualifying in both events at the Olympics - a goal she achieved, reaching the semi-finals in both the 10m platform and 3m springboard at the Paris 2024 Olympics. "I never expected to reach the semi-finals in both at the Olympics,"

However, competing in two events comes with its challenges. Training for both events requires careful balance, time management, and a lot of training. "Competing in both springboard and platform is not as complicated as training for them. The fact is, you run out of time for one of the two," Navarro explains. She has learned to balance her training, focusing slightly more on the platform while giving her all to the springboard whenever possible.

Looking ahead, the Navarro plans to continue competing in both the 10-meter and 3-meter events. "I will continue to do both, depending on the competition and the rest time between events."

With no further competitions scheduled for 2024, Navarro has shifted her focus to her next major goal: the World Aquatics Championships - Singapore2025. Her ambition is clear - to reach the finals in the World Championships. To achieve this, she plans to use the time to prepare with determination, refining her techniques and improving her dive scores. "I don’t have any more competitions this year, so I will prepare well for the 2025 World Championships with the aim of reaching the finals.”
