2015 - Year men became eligible to compete in artistic swimming at the World Aquatics Championships.

1992 - Last time solo competition in artistic swimming was contested at the Olympic Games. It was held from 1984 to 1992 and is still held at the World Aquatics Championships.

1984 - Year artistic swimming made its Olympic debut, at the Games in Los Angeles.

60 - Percentage of artistic swimming gold medals won by Russian athletes in Olympic history (12 of 20).

35 - Age of the oldest medallist in artistic swimming. Kseniya Sydorenko (UKR) who claimed bronze at 35 years, 36 days in the team event at Tokyo 2020.

16 - Age of the sport's youngest medallist. Valerie Hould-Marchand (CAN) earned a silver medal at 16 years, 62 days in the team event in 1996.

14 - Record number of Olympic medals won by Japan in artistic swimming, though none of those is gold (G0-S4-B10).

7 - Record number of artistic swimming gold medals won by Svetlana Romashina (RUS/ROC).

2 – Number of male athletes each NOC may include in the team event roster, with men eligible to compete in artistic swimming for the first time at the Olympic Games.

1 - The first Olympic gold medal in artistic swimming was won by Tracie Ruiz-Conforto and Candy Costie (USA) in the women's duet in 1984
