The 22nd edition of the World Aquatics Championships will take place from 11 July – 3 August 2025 in Singapore.
LAUSANNE – World Aquatics has announced today that the World Aquatics Championships - Singapore 2025 will take place from 11 July to 3 August 2025, following a decision by the World Aquatics Bureau and the Singapore 2025 Organising Committee.
The World Aquatics Championships – the premier international aquatics event – celebrates 75 medal events across the six aquatic sports of swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming and high diving.
The 22nd edition of the event will be staged in close cooperation with Singapore Aquatics and Sport Singapore, a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
Over 2,500 athletes are expected to participate at these World Aquatics Championships, representing World Aquatics’ 210 national member federations.
Most of the 24 days of competition will be held in venues within the Singapore Sports Hub and Sentosa.
Singapore has held numerous top-level sporting events, including World Cups in five of the six aquatic sports and the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in 2015. Singapore also held the inaugural edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2010, during which swimming and diving competitions took place.

Mark Chay, President of the Singapore Aquatics, expressed his enthusiasm as he announced the competition dates for the upcoming World Aquatics Championships.

The competition schedule and dates for the World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025, as well as the World Aquatics Masters Championships – Singapore 2025, will be announced at a later date.
