“We have made history here in Doha, Qatar. Just as we will when Singapore hosts the next edition of the World Aquatics Championships in 2025, the first time the event will take place in Southeast Asia,” said President Husain Al-Musallam.

“Singapore has everything we hope to share with our athletes: world-class facilities, proven experience of hosting events of the highest quality and a passion for aquatic sports that runs from an elite to community level.”

The demonstrated excellence in Singapore hosting top-tier aquatics competitions includes 27 previous World Aquatics events, including World Cups in five of the six aquatics sports and the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in 2015.
