The water quality in the river Seine is still below acceptable standards for safeguarding swimmers’ health, following several days of rainfall.
As a result the decision has been taken, in consultation with public health authorities and event delivery partners, to modify the proposed schedule for the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup 2023 event planned for this weekend in Paris.
The women’s race initially planned for 5th August has been postponed to 6th August.
Planned times for 6th August are:
07:30 Women’s 10K
11:30 Men’s 10K
Water quality continues to be monitored closely. A further update to media can be expected around 05:00 on 6 August.
