Other swimmers attended the Grand Prix in Santa Clara (USA), where Mexico won three medals: Daniel Delgadillo (1500 freestyle silver medallist), Susana Escobar (800 freestyle bronze medallist) and the men's relay team (800 freestyle bronze medallist).

The women's swim team to compete at the Central American and Caribbean Games is composed of: Patricia Castañeda, Liliana Ibanez Byanca Rodriguez, Rita Medrano, Fernanda González, Estela Davis, Arantxa Medina, Martha Beltrán, Susana Escobar, Diana Luna, Lourdes Villaseñor and Prisciliana Escobar.

The Mexican team will go to the Central American and Caribbean Games without experienced compatriot, Adriana Marmolejo, who is taking a break in her swimming career in order to get ready for the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara (MEX).
