
Fifty athletes who benefit from the World Aquatics Scholarship Programme or the Stipendium Hungaricum Sport Scholarship Programme will compete at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in Budapest from 10 to 15 December.
Through technical and financial support, World Aquatics enables athletes from around the world to unlock their potential and thrive in international competition. These athletes demonstrate this, as they are set to compete on the biggest stage in short course swimming in just a few days.
Thirty-seven recipients of assistance from the World Aquatics Scholarship Programme and 13 from the Stipendium Hungaricum Sport Scholarship Programme will compete in Budapest.
The World Aquatics Scholarship Programme serves as a catalyst for athlete development both on and off the field of play. Recipients are placed at World Aquatics Training Centres for one or two years in Antibes (FRA), Budapest (HUN), Thanyapura (THA), or Bond University (AUS).

The Stipendium Hungaricum Sport Scholarship Programme is a collaboration between World Aquatics and the Hungarian Government. It allows athletes to combine representing their country in international competition with pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree as full-time students at a Hungarian university.
