
The 19th FINA World Masters Championships 2022 will be held from August 2 - 11, 2023 across the Island of Kyushu, Japan in the cities of Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Kagoshima. Holding the tournament across three cities will allow for the wide dissemination of various effects and legacies, such as promoting swimming to all generations, promoting the interaction between participants and citizens, leading to the improvement of local power by holding the tournament, and economic ripple effects.
Approximately 10,000 people from 100 countries/regions are expected to take part to the World Masters Championships (2-11 August 2023), only few days after the end of the FINA World Championships 2022. Masters athletes can compete across five disciplines: Swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming and open water swimming and three different venues.
The event also aims to provide an attractive environment where participants can enjoy not only the races but their stay in the cities through a variety of fun events and contents.
