In order to capture images from inaccessible angles, the Rossiya Segodnya agency's photo service will use remote cameras, including mobile robot platforms. Rossiya Segodnya's sports news agency, R-Sport, that earlier had a successful experience serving as the host national news agency for the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan and 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi, will be responsible for producing and delivering the news content.

FINA Executive Director Cornel Marculescu mentioned the agency’s high level of expertise and assured that FINA had no doubt about the choice.

“High-quality media support and heavy coverage of the FINA Championships are one of the major requirements for the host country. Without any doubt we have chosen Rossiya Segodnya as a host news and photo agency for the 16th FINA World Championships. The experience and competence of our colleagues are obvious,” said Mr. Marculescu.

"We welcome the International Swimming Federation's decision to choose Rossiya Segodnya as a host national news agency for the upcoming 16th FINA World Championships. Our cooperation during the Universiade showed that Rossiya Segodnya has sufficient technical resources and qualified personnel required for a smooth and high-quality multimedia coverage of major sporting events that meets international standards," said Azat Kadyrov, Director General of the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects.

During the Championships, the Rossiya Segodnya photo service is going to widely use the possibilities of remote photo shooting, including mobile robot platforms to capture photos from angles inaccessible from regular photo positions. The Blitz photo content delivery system, which was developed especially for the Olympic Games, will allow posting photo highlights immediately after taking them. The R-Sport journalists will primarily focus on covering stories about Russian athletes and global sports stars. Latest comments and interviews will be made available to a wide range of readers and other media outlets.
